Taxonomy

Two subspecies recognized:

  • O. l. lugentoides in western Arabia (Taif to Yemen)
  • O. l. boscaweni in southern Arabia (Hadramaut)

Formerly included in Abyssinian Wheatear or Mourning Wheatear.
