South-east Asia: found in Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Greater Sundas, Sumatra, Java

Wetlands, marshes, reedbeds, arable land and rice fields
Behaviour
Breeding
They build a dome-shaped nests made from woven grass, in reeds or grasses beside fresh water lakes and ponds.
Diet
The diet includes seeds and grain.
