Identification
12–13 cm (4¾-5 in)
- Black forehead, crown and nape
- Greyish-brown upperparts
- Darker rump and upper tail coverts
- Brownish-black wings and tail
Distribution
Central America: found in southern Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, to western Honduras
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly placed in genus Notiochelidon
Habitat
Open woodland, woodland edges, agricultural and areas of human habitation.
Behaviour
Diet
They feed alone or in small groups, sometimes flying low to the ground. Little is know about what they actually eat.
