South America: Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
High-altitude dry alpine tundra, observed at heights around 3200 m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet consists of insects and they possibly also eat some cactus fruits too.
