This is a monotypic species^[1].

Moist lowland forests to 1,100m, freshwater swamp forest, mangroves and deep jungle.

The diet includes insects.

[edit] Breeding

The cone shaped nest is made from lichens and spider webs. The clutch consists of 2 eggs. The young are fed by both adults.
