14cm. Male - light blue crown, slate-blue upperparts, white underparts. Female - brown above, grey cheeks, blue crown; both sexes have bright orange bill.

Fiji.

There are 3 subspecies:

  • M. a. azureocapilla
  • M. a. castaneigularis
  • M. a. whitneyi

Moist montanes and lowland forest.
