DistributionCanada from central Saskatchewan east to eastern Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia south into eastern United States from northern Minnesota east to northern Pennsylvania and New England; also along the Appalachians south to northern Georgia.Folund throughout the northeastern United States in migration. Winters in South America from northern Colombia and Venezuela south to Peru and Brazil. Rare to casual vagrant to the western United States.
