Genus: Ceryle

Description

A single species, the Pied Kingfisher.

Taxonomy

Ceryle is a monotypic genus in the Family Alcedinidae. However, it is only recently that Ringed Kingfisher and Belted Kingfisher were moved from genus Ceryle to genus Megaceryle.
