Description

These three Mohuas from New Zealand have a much more Warbler-like bill than other Whistlers.

Taxonomy

Mohoua is a genus in the Family Mohouidae.
It has been placed in different families in the past, including Paridae, Timaliidae, Orthonychidae, Campephagidae, Sylviidae, Maluridae and Pachycephalidae.
The extinct Piopio may have belonged to this genus too, Pipipi was formerly sometimes placed in its own genus Finschia.
