Genus: Nectarinia

Description

About six species of Sunbird from Africa.

Taxonomy

Nectarinia is a genus in the Family Nectariniidae.

Before the work of Irwin (1999, cited by Cheke, 2008 & Percy Fitzpatrick Institute, 2002), this genus included most of the African Sunbirds. However, Irwin split the genus placing the species in nine different genera.
