Genus: Timalia

Description

This genus contains just one species, the Chestnut-capped Babbler from SE-Asia. It has

  • A short, deep-based bill
  • A strongly graduated tail longer than the wing
  • Peculiar rigid crown-feather shafts

Taxonomy

Timalia is a genus in the Family Timaliidae.
It seems to be closely related to the genus Macronous.
