Identification
10cm (4 in).
- Rufous brown
- Grey crown
- Grey edged wings
- White patch near base of primaries
- Dark grey bill, legs and feet
Female - duller
Distribution
South America: found from Paraguay to south-central Brazil, Uruguay and north-eastern Argentina.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Wet lowland grassland and marshes with tall grasses.
Behaviour
Breeding
They weave a up of dried grass to make the nest. The female incubates the eggs, both sexes feed and care for the young.
