Dusky-tailed Canastero

Asthenes humicola

This is a member of the Ovenbird family, Furnariidae, and an endemic species to central Chile. It can be found in shrubby, matorral-like environment, and is quite skulky, only occasionally coming out of the bush for a few seconds, to look for food in the ground.
