Identification

Distribution

From southeastern Colombia to southern Venezuela, northeastern Peru and northwestern Brazil.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
Formerly considered conspecific with Rufous-backed Antwren and Madeira Antwren under the name Stipple-throated Antwren.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.

Behaviour

The diet includes insects and spiders.
