  • Red eye

Similar Species

Male White-shouldered Antbird is similar but female differ; should mostly be found north of Goeldi's Antbird.

Distribution

South America: found from South-eastern Peru to extreme north-western Bolivia and extreme south-western Amazonian Brazil

This is a monotypic species[1].
Placed in genus Myrmeciza by Gill and Donsker.

Varied lowland habitat, including thickets, bamboo and different types of forest and edge.
