Identification

9·5 cm
Buffy-pink below, greyish above, with white supercilium and buffy wing bars and edging; central crown has a semi-concealed white patch.

Distribution

South America
South-eastern Brazil (central Bahia to Minas Gerais and northern São Paulo)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Grassland dominated by rocks or scrub.

Behaviour

Diet

This species is a flycatcher, mainly eating insects.

Breeding

There is little information available. They lay 1-2 eggs in a small cup nest of rootlets and moss from July to September.
