[edit] OverviewKapelludden is on the east coast of Oland opposite Borgholm and has shallow bays and coastal meadows. [edit] Birds[edit] Notable SpeciesThe area is important for both breeding and passage birds. Around 330 species have been recorded in total including many rarities. Red-breasted Goose is recorded almost annually. Greylag Goose, Montagu's Harrier, Corn Crake and Common Crane are among the birds present in summer along with Pied Avocet, Black-tailed Godwit and Caspian Tern. Passerine breeders include Barred Warbler and Marsh Warbler. A range of waterfowl, raptors and waders occurs on passage and White-tailed Eagle and Hen Harrier hunt the area in winter, sometimes joined by Peregrine Falcon and Gyr Falcon.
