Distribution

Sandy coasts of Southeast Asia to Philippines and Indonesia.

Taxonomy

A monotypic species.

Habitat

Most frequently found on sandy or coral beaches, occasionally on mudflats.

Behaviour

Similar to Kentish Plover, usually found in pairs or family groups at suitable often traditional sites.
