[edit] IdentificationMainly black, with areas that are brownish orange on rump, most of underside, and a patch on the wing; hood is supposed to be reddish-brown, but seeing that as different from black takes excellent light. Sexes are identical. [edit] DistributionEndemic to Martinique where most common in the south part and the north central mountain area. Threatened by Shiny Cowbird[2]. [edit] TaxonomyThis is a monotypic species[1]. [edit] HabitatBoth humid and drier forested areas[2]. [edit] BehaviourDiet includes insects, fruit and berries.
