- Psilopogon incognitus
Identification
23cm. Small red patch on rear crown, blue cheeks and throat, black eye and submoustachial stripe. The juvenile has duller, greener sides of the head and throat and a narrower submoustachial stripe.
Distribution
Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
Taxonomy
Sometimes placed in the genus Megalaima.
Habitat
Broadleaf evergreen forest.
Behaviour
It nests in a tree hole.
