Identification

14 cm

  • Ochre-yellow
  • Upperparts broadly streaked black
  • Broad breast-band of bold streaks

Distribution

South America: found locally in South-east Brazil, south-eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Savanna grasslands.

Behaviour

Breeding

Breeding is probably biannual, and has been reported in October in Argentina.
