Description

12 cm (4.75 inches). The upperparts are medium to dark grey, it has 2 white wing bars, a white eye-brow, dark stripe through the eye, white semi-circle below the eye and below this a light grey cheek. Underparts are pale grey with white at the centre of the breast.

Distribution

Found only in Dominica and the Guadeloupe archipelago.

Taxonomy

Plumbeous Warbler is considered monotypic.
Formerly placed in genus Dendroica.

Habitat

Found most numerous in wet forests and swamps at all elevations, but occationally also in dry forests.

Behaviour

Gleans insects in low to mid levels of bushes, vines, and trees but can also eat berries. The bird has been reported to habitually flick its tail.
