8.5cm. A tiny bird with a long tail.

  • Drab greyish-brown head
  • Short, stubby, broad-based bill
  • Medium grey upperparts with brownish tinge
  • Dull grey-brown, long tail
  • Light grey chin and throat, mottled and bordered below with pale pinkish-buff
  • Pale dull pinkish-buff underparts

Sexes similar. Juveniles not yet described but thought to be similar to adults.

A locally common restricted-range species.
