Identification

Adult: Green upper and underparts, large black bill, red crown, black eyestripe with yellow and red below and blue supercilium & throat.

Distribution

Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
Sometimes placed in the genus Megalaima.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and plantations.
