Prominent pale eyebrow, whitish throat and cheek patch, streaked breast and flanks, yellow rump.
Distribution
Tanzania, Kenya, southern Somalia, Ethiopia, eastern Uganda, and extreme south-eastern Sudan.
Taxonomy
Monotypic.
Placed in genus Serinus by Clements.
Habitat
Open woodland and fields.
Behaviour
Diet includes seeds and insects.
