Identification
Tawny back-collar patch on upper back, side-neck and upper shoulders, dark olive-brown with a grey crown, white throat and broad band of black with black streaks across the breast. White belly and has a short tail.
Distribution
Brazil, Guianas, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Suriname, and Venezuela.
Taxonomy
There are 3 subspecies.
Habitat
Moist humid forests.
Behaviour
Its diet includes beetles, ants, and wasps, which it gleans from the undersides of leaves.
