Identification

Distribution

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela.

Taxonomy

Habitat

Dry forests, dry savanna, dry shrubland and former forests.

Behaviour

They build enormous nests of sticks which can be up to 2 metres long. These nest have several chambers although only one is used. The same pair will build a new nest each year and usually in the same or a nearby tree.
