19cm. Mid-brown, rufous rump and upper tail, pale eyebrow and pale underparts, and a dark line through its eye.

Taxonomy

This is a Monotypic species.

Habitat

Open grassland, grassy open woodland, farmland.

Behaviour

The diet includes insects and other small arthropods.

The female builds a nest shaped like a deep cup, of grass on the ground in thick grass or other low vegetation. The female incubates the eggs and raises the young.
