Identification
Length 11-12 cm
A greyish-brown canary with a yellow patch on the lower throat and upper breast, and a black collar accross the upper breast.
Distribution
East Africa: found in Savanna of Ethiopia.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Placed in genus Serinus by Clements.
Habitat
Semi-arid desert wadis, rocky gorges and dry water courses with scrub.
Status
Classified as Vulnerable in the 2008 IUCN Red List.1
