The San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary is located near Upper Newport Bay, in Irvine, Orange County, California. It is over 300 acres in size and is the home of the Sea and Sage Audubon Society headquarters.

Raccoon, Long-tailed Weasel, Audubon Cottontail Rabbit, Bobcat, Striped Skunk, California Ground Squirrel.

At least 2 species of bats are found at the Sanctuary, the Mexican Free-tailed Bat and the Yuma Myotis Bat.²
