Identification

Distribution

China, Nepal, Myanmar, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Laos, and Thailand. The image of a female shows the first record for Hong Kong.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
Formerly named Ficedula hodgsonii but this creates confusion with Pygmy Flycatcher which is now also placed in the genus Ficedula.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and montanes.
