Distribution
Eastern Africa: found in Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya and Tanzania.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 4 subspecies[1]:
- A. s. megaensis:
- Southern Ethiopia
- A. s. somalica:
- Eastern Ethiopia to northern Somalia
- A. s. perconfusa:
- Central and western plateau of northern Somalia
- A. s. athensis : Athi Short-toed Lark
Habitat
Dry lowland grassland.
