Identification

  • Brownish unstreaked wings and back
  • Rufous crown and nape
  • Whitish throat and breast grading to buff undertail covers and flanks
  • Long, wedge-tipped tail, brown

Sexes similar

Distribution

Spinifex regions of north-central Australia (Pilbara to north-western Queensland).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly placed in genus Eremiornis. Placed in genus Megalurus by Gill and Donsker.
