Similar species
White-browed Fantail has a dark throat (with white moustachial stripe) and white spots on wing-coverts, White-throated Fantail has dark breast and belly.
Distribution
Found in central and south India.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly regarded as subspecies of White-throated Fantail.
Habitat
A variety of wooded areas including second growth.
Behaviour
Very active bird that frequently fans its tail while calling.
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of small flying insects
