Identification
Male has black throat that gradually become black scalloping on white lower belly. Female has whitish underparts with light scalloping.
Similar species
Similar to White-bibbed Antbird in which the male as a white lower throat and the female has buffy throat.
Distribution
South-eastern Brazil.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Placed in genus Myrmeciza by Gill and Donsker.
Habitat
Moist and drier lowland forest and woodlands.
