30.5 cm. Dark brown head and upperparts, dark blue grey underparts and flanks, pale green large, thick bill, yellow legs becoming more olive at the rear.

Talaud Islands in the Moluccas (Indonesia).

  • Formerly placed within Plain Bush-hen, (A. olivacea).
