Identification

Distribution

Found south of the Amazon between rivers Tapajos and Xingu in Brazil.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species1.
Formerly considered a subspecies of Little Hermit.

Habitat

Forests especially undergrowth but sometimes also edges.
