At the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Trent, this reserve lies on the Inner Humber estuary and consists of extensive tidal reedbeds and saltmarsh with artificially created brackish lagoons.<br />

Distribution

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly included in Capped Seedeater together with Copper Seedeater -- there are areas of overlap between these two species.

Diet

The diet consists almost entirely of grass seeds.
