Overview

Tentsmuir Point National Nature Reserve is located east of Tayport in Scotland, between the Firth of Tay and the Eden estuary, to the south. It has a variety of habitats, from lochs, to forest and beach.

Access and Facilities

  • Tentsmuir Point National Nature Reserve is located 2.5 miles east of Tayport, which is 1.5 miles north of the Forestry Commission car park. It is signposted Kinshaldy Beach.
  • Open all year
  • Access is available along the shore from the Forestry Commission’s Kinshaldy car park, and also along the foreshore from Tayport. There are also several gateways leading into Tentsmuir Point from the easternmost forestry road through Tentsmuir Forest.
  • Morton Lochs are accessible off the Tayport/Leuchars road (B945), south of Tayport
