Sporophila beltoni

Identification

Larger than Plumbeous Seedeater and with a more bluish grey plumage.

Distribution

Southern Brazil. Migrates to central Brazil in austral winter.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
Described as recently as 2013.

Habitat

Upland shrubby grassland associated with Araucaria forest.
