IdentificationEasily mistaken for Olivaceous Warbler especially flitting around in the greenery and the voice is similar as well. Length 14cm, upperparts are a slightly lighter grey than is shown in the photograph. The head is more rounded than in the olivaceous. DistributionTurkey south and east to Pakistan. Winters in eastern Africa, from Eritrea and Somalia south to Tanzania. TaxonomyHabitatSemi-desert, bushy scrub, tamarisk thickets. Behaviour4-5 eggs are laid in a nest in bushes and low trees.
