- Dark brown upper back, dappled pale grey
- Dark brown lower back
- Rufous-brown rump, upperwing-coverts and uppertail
- Off-white centre of breast and belly with fine black-brown scalloping
- Olive-brown sides of belly and flanks with fine black-brown scalloping
- Olive-brown undertail
Sexes similar
Juvenile similar to adult, but upperparts without dappling
Distribution
Coastal south-west Western Australia (east of Albany).

This is a monotypic species[1].

Dense coastal heaths.
