Oxypogon lindenii

Identification

Males show white beard with few green spots, white and black in the crest - crest longer than in other Helmetcrests, blackish crown sides, dark brown undersides, and tail without white (except for shafts of outer rectrices).

Distribution

South America: northwest Venezuela

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
Formerly included in Bearded Helmetcrest.

Habitat

High-altitude grassland.
