Not to be confused with the White-throated Ground Thrush from Asia.
Identification
Upper parts dark gray, underparts lighter. Very similar to other large thrushes in the Turdus genus in habits and appearance, but has diagnostic white patch under a black-streaked throat.
Distribution
From Mexico to Panama, Colombia and Ecuador.
Taxonomy
There are eleven subspecies that are recognized in this species. One of them, daguae, is considered a distinct species (Dagua Thrush) by some authorities. White-throated Thrush has been lumped with White-necked Thrush in the past.

This bird is somewhat shy, much more likely to be in the middle of a bush than out in the open.
