Identification
All-black bird with grey to blue-grey eyes.
Similar species
Very similar to Lowland Sooty Boubou, but with grey eyes.
Distribution
Endemic to the Albertine Rift in east Africa. Confirmed for Uganda and Burundi, probably also in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species which was recently described.[1][2]
Habitat
Forest at altitudes of 1600 to 2000 m.
