13 cm. Slate grey head, olive green upperparts, white throat and breast, yellow belly, narrow long tail, sometimes white eyebrows, red eye. Sexes similar. Juvenile: Upperparts brown, tail tip white, yellow underparts.

Pakistan, Borneo, Java and Singapore.

Low bushes and tall grasses, reeds and sedges and scrubland.

[edit] Behaviour

They nest at the base of tall grass in a untidy loose ball nest build from grasses or leaves wrapped around tall stems. 3-4 reddish chestnut eggs are laid, with a band or cap of richer colour at the broader end.

The diet includes insects.
