- Green uppperparts
- Red underparts
- Golden-yellow undertail coverts
- Short yellow line behind eye

- Blue-grey bill with narrow white line at base
- White throat

Distribution
South America: found locally in mountains of northern Peru (San Martín and La Libertad).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Found in the canopy of montane cloud forest.
Behaviour
Their diet consists mainly of fruit and seeds, but insects and other animals are also thought to be consumed.
