- M. k. keiensis:
- Kai Islands and Aru Islands
- M. k. chloroxantha:
- West Papuan islands, Vogelkop and Onin peninsulas
- M. k. viridipectus:
- Southern New Guinea (Mimika River to Fly River)
Habitat
Moist lowland and hill forests, mangrove forests and coconut plantations.
