[edit] Identification

Olive on the head and upperparts, with a yellow throat and white belly; dark eyes with yellow "spectacles". The tail and wings are dark with white wing bars. They have thick blue-grey legs and a dark stout bill.

Breeds in eastern part of North America, winters southern Mexico to Colombia and Venezuela and additionally in the Caribbean, mostly in Greater Antilles.

This is a monotypic species.

Open deciduous woodland.

The diet includes insects and berries.

They make a thick cup nest attached to a fork in a tree branch.
