Spent the day in southern/central Oregon birding the dry / marsh ( doesn't make sense, does it)....of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge...what a beautiful place! But it poured and I mean poured almost the entire time I was there. The locals are thankful for the rain and the birds loved it! But, it was not too good for photography nor birding for small birds. All of the sparrows, flycatchers, finches etc were holed up....but the shorebirds were out!...

I need to return in a dryer day, perhaps in fall. Check out my Flickr page for some of the better photos of the day....still a bit of rain in these.
